St Anne is home to one of the nicest, most popular beaches of Martinique—Les Salines. St Anne rests along the southern coast of Martinique east of Diamond Rock where diving is popular with tourists. Les Salines Beach, is another of the best beaches in Martinique if you like miles of white sand and softly swaying palm trees. There are no shower or bath facilities available at Les Salines. However, there is plenty of space to set up and enjoy a long, relaxing day by the water with terrific panoramic scenery that surrounds Les Salines Martinique like a picture-perfect postcard.
If you plan on visiting Les Salines Martinique, keep in mind that weekdays are the least busy times to enjoy some beach time. Les Salines Beach tends to fill up fast with families on the weekends and can become quite crowded, especially in the afternoons. Snack bars are situated underneath the tall palms where a shady afternoon lunch is ideal. Les Salines Martinique is known only for infrequent rough currents. Throughout the majority of the year the water is quite calm and safe for swimming.
Toward the northwest are other beaches of Martinique including Pointe de Bout and several others surrounding Fort de France. The ferry that runs between this area and Fort de France is a convenient way to get in as much beach time at a variety of beaches as possible in one day, though this is a busy area and many tend to hit the beaches in the south. In the south, close to Les Salines Beach, are several other areas for sun, sand, and sea. Other beaches of Martinique in the area include Anses d'Arlets, Cap Chevalier, and Saint Luce.
