San Jose Hotels

Only 20 minutes from the country's main airport, most tourists visiting Costa Rica will spend a night in a San Jose hotel here before moving onto their other adventures. This, the capitol of Costa Rica, has scores of places to stay. The Alta Hotel is one of the top choices, being close to the airport and having lovely rooms and incredible balcony views. It has a bar restaurant and is undoubtedly one of the most comfortable and luxurious places to stay in San Jose.

The Hotel Santo Thomas has 20 non smoking rooms in a French Victorian setting. This mansions rooms are clean and tastefully decorated with fine furniture, have hardwood floors and fine Persian rugs. 8 museums lie within a short 4-block walk, and you will have extra cash on hand to pay for admission because the rates at this excellent San Jose Hotel are a reasonable $69.95 for a superior room.
