Tabacon
is the name of what might very well be Costa Rica's top
destination. Tabacon Resort Hot Springs and Spa is located
near the base of the active Arenal Volcano. These thermal
springs, some of which are hotter than others, are warmed
from the volcanoes. The minerals that are in its healing
waters also vary from pool to pool.
Tabacon, Costa Rica is something that is near or at the
top of the list of every visitor to Costa
Rica. The Tabacon Resort
provides accommodations for travelers while they visit
this beautiful place. Its lush setting, with manicured
gardens and the relaxing Iskandria Spa, is different from
setting you will experience on other kinds of Costa Rica
tours. Its location, north of its most active crater,
is the direction in which the lava flows. Sitting in a
hot spring and watching the red glow of the volcano light
up the deep blue of the rainforest dusk is a once in a
lifetime experience you will want to relive again and
again.
The Juan Santamaria International Airport is within easy
reach of San Jose; buses being only 60 cents or a $15-20
dollar cab ride to make the 20 minutes journey to the
capitol of Costa Rica. The bus stops is directly outside
of the airports main terminal, although if you have a
lot of luggage a taxi might be a better option.
On the way to the city from the San Jose airport you
will pass plantations, which grow some of the finest coffees
in the world. The perpetual sunny, spring-like climate
is the perfect weather in which to grow coffee. San Jose,
Costa Rica is the source of the pulse of this, Central
America's most cosmopolitan capitol. As you enter the
city, you will feel its faster pace, a far cry from the
relaxed vistas of the verdant farmland you passed on your
way from the San Jose airport.
