Isla Mujeres Hotels

Isla Mujeres Hotels

Isla Mujeres is a beautiful island that offers privacy and seclusion, yet is close to Cancun and famous Mayan ruins such as Chichen Itza. Thousands of people stay in Isla Mujeres hotels each year to take advantage of the pristine beaches and water activities such as fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and scuba diving. Hotels in Isla Mujeres offer a more intimate and personable feel than hotels in some of the larger resort towns. Some of the hotels in Isla Mujeres are complete with outdoor beds and sofas, making it tempting to spend your entire vacation outside.

Isla Mujeres lodging tends to be stylish and modern. One example of this style is the Casa de los Sueños Resort & Spa Zenter. This choice in Isla Mujeres lodging was once a private residence and was later converted into an upscale boutique hotel. Each room is decorated with bright colors such as blues, oranges, and reds, as well as interesting local artwork. The bathrooms have marble accents and designer toiletries while the beds have Egyptian cotton bedding. All of the rooms have balconies that overlook the Caribbean Sea. In the center of the hotel is a large sunken courtyard that is surrounded by tropical gardens. An oudoor infinity pool seems to flow right into the ocean. There are many ways to relax at the hotel, including participating in an outdoor yoga class or getting a spa treatment. Casa de los Sueños Resort & Spa Zenter is one of several Isla Mujeres hotels that cater to adults. No children under the age of 15 are allowed to stay in the hotel.

If you’re looking for comfortable Isla Mujeres lodging at an affordable price, Hotel D’Gomar has what you’re looking for. The sixteen-unit hotel offers simple rooms with two double beds as well as oversized windows that look out to the ocean. It is located right next to the ferry pier, which is convenient for people planning to take Mexico cruises. Half of the rooms are air conditioned and half have ceiling fans, which do a fine job at keeping the rooms cool. The majority of Isla Mujeres hotels are small, making for a pleasant experience if you are used to staying in the large chain hotels of Cancun and Cozumel. The same can be said for Secreto—a small, upscale boutique hotel that offers several different amenities. Each air conditioned room is decorated by contemporary furnishings with a private cabana. Each room also has a TV, a safe, a refrigerator, a CD player, and bathrobes. The rooms overlook an infinity pool surrounded by tropical gardens as well as the spectacular Caribbean Sea. A unique outdoor living area is decorated with comfortable couches and tables. Like many hotels in Isla Mujeres, the nightly price of the room includes a continental breakfast. Some of the things to do at the hotel include participating in an optional diving or snorkeling tour or going on a fishing charter.

Isla Mujeres accommodations are busiest in the winter months, when the temperatures range between 70 and 85 degrees. It's always a good idea to reserve your room at least two months in advance to assure you get your first choice in accommodations.
