La Paz Hotels

The city of La Paz, which means peace in Spanish, is a serene slow-paced town located on the coast of Mexico. La Paz is a haven to outdoor enthusiasts and adventurous travelers. The city’s 200,000 residents and an increasing number of tourists enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including rock climbing, hiking, diving, sea kayaking, and fishing. Many La Paz hotels take visitors on snorkeling tours and fishing expeditions around La Paz and the Baja region of Mexico. It’s possible to find cheap hotels in La Paz all year round, making it both an interesting and affordable place to take a vacation.

Some of the choices for accommodation in La Paz include bed and breakfasts, large chain hotels, and boutique hotels. The majority of La Paz hotels are low priced, although you'll pay more for any La Paz lodging that has its own private beach. You can find the best deals on La Paz hotels during June and July, when temperatures are at their hottest and tourism is at its lowest.

One option for La Paz lodging is the Grand Plaza La Paz. This 54-unit all-suite hotel caters to business travelers by offering internet access, a fully-equipped business center, meeting spaces, and optional secretarial assistance. If you’re not in La Paz for business, the nearby marina offers fun for visitors of all ages in its pool area. Each air-conditioned room of the Grand Plaza La Paz has two queen- or one king-sized bed, a hair dryer, a coffeemaker, a safe, and a microwave. Free parking is available. There are many things to do in the hotel, including playing a game of squash at the squash court, working out at the fitness center, or relaxing in the outdoor pool and sauna. The accommodation in La Paz also has two bars and a restaurant offering room service.

One option for comfortable and cheap hotels in La Paz is the Hotel Los Arcos. The large 130-unit neo-Classical-style hotel succeeds in bringing the outdoors in with an array of plants and fountains in its lobby space. Each room comes equipped with a satellite TV with US channels, plus a balcony that overlooks a pool or the beach. In addition to standard rooms, the Hotel Los Arcos also has several thatched room bungalows. There are two outdoor pools, a ping-pong table, a restaurant, and an onsite bar. The hotel’s bar hosts live music on the weekends.

Accommodation in La Paz is often simple and rustic. Hotel Mediterrane is a chic yet simple hotel with colorful decorations, rustic furniture, and large common spaces, incuding an interior courtyard. Each room has two full-sized beds or one king-sized bed, spacious bathrooms, and room for up to six people. The adjacent Italian restaurant is considered to be one of the best in La Paz. If you want to explore the town or do some paddling in the sea, the hotel staff will loan you a bicycle or kayak. The hotel also features a modern computer lab that guests can access for free. If you brought your laptop, complimentary wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

La Paz lodging is comfortable, affordable, and offers all sorts of recreational activities for adventurous travelers as well as for those who just want to relax.
