Playa Del Carmen Luxury Hotels

Playa del Carmen is a town on the Caribbean Sea in Mexico that offers a variety of vacation options. Many people enjoy the world-famous golf courses here, while others enjoy active pursuits such as snorkeling and scuba diving. No matter what your reason is for visiting the seaside paradise, there are a variety of Playa del Carmen luxury hotels that offer something for everyone. Most resorts in Playa del Carmen are rather large with many different amenities and facilities, although smaller, more intimate Playa del Carmen boutique hotels have been popping up all over town.

When it comes to the amenities that guests of Playa del Carmen luxury hotels are looking for, the Royal Hideaway Playacar spares no expense. The adult-only hotel consists of eleven villas—each of which has its own personal concierge—with 200 guest rooms total. All of the rooms have a furnished terrace and balcony and some look out to the Caribbean Sea. Standard amenities include air conditioning, a hydro massage bathtub and shower, slippers and a bathrobe, satellite TV, a DVD player, and high-speed internet access. There is also a pillow menu that allows guests to order pillows based on their sleeping preferences. Like many of the resorts in Playa del Carmen, the Royal Hideaway Playacar has a luxury spa. The spa offers standard massages and facials as well as treatments that incorporate elements of the coastal environment, such as salt and seaweed.

A stay at Esencia, one of the most luxurious Playa del Carmen boutique hotels, is an experience you’re not likely to forget. Located on a wide expanse of beach on the Riviera Maya, the hotel pampers guests with incredible views, fresh and healthy cuisine, and personalized butler service. Each one of the 28 air-conditioned rooms and guest suites is uniquely designed. Garden suites with living rooms separate from the bedrooms, oversized bathrooms, and private plunge pools are available. No matter which room you choose, you’ll be treated to Egyptian cotton sheets and duvets, designer bath amenities, CD and DVD players, and a flat-screen TV. The understated interior of the hotel is stark white with contrasts of red and brown. The simple yet modern décor gives the hotel the fresh chic feeling that Playa del Carmen boutique hotels are famous for.

Located in a tropical forest on the Caribbean Sea, the Tides Riviera Maya is considered one of the best hotels in Playa Del Carmen for a relaxing, low-key vacation. Some of the main highlights of the hotel include a gourmet restaurant and a full-service holistic spa. To further promote relaxation, the hotel offers daily yoga classes in its oceanside yoga studio. Just like other resorts in Playa Del Carmen, the Tides Riviera Maya also opportunities for active pursuits such as diving, snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, and horseback riding. They also offer organized tours to the Mayan ruins of Tulu.

No matter which one of the resorts in Playa Del Carmen you choose, golf courses and shopping centers are within a few miles away. Many Playa Del Carmen luxury hotels provide complimentary transportation to area attractions.
