Puerto Vallarta Hotels

Puerto Vallarta Hotels

The Riviera Maya in Mexico is known for its long stretches of beach as well as its upscale all inclusive resorts, and Puerto Vallarta is no exception. Puerto Vallarta lodging offers something for everyone, from those who want a quiet and romantic honeymoon vacation that involves relaxing by the pool to those who want an action-packed family vacation. You can find some great deals on Puerto Vallarta hotels and other accommodation in Puerto Vallarta such as private apartments and villas all year, although May through August is the time when people have the best luck finding good deals on Puerto Vallarta lodging.

If you’re planning to take a relaxing Puerto Vallarta vacation in the winter, a good option for accommodation in Puerto Vallarta is the Verana Hotel. The hotel offers seven villas set right on a secluded beach with views of the nearby mountains. To access Verana, guests must take a half hour water ferry from Puerto Vallarta. Although the rooms are comfortably furnished, they are purposely absent of modern day distractions such as telephones and TVs. The hotel’s restaurant serves fresh Mexican cuisine prepared by a European chef. For further relaxation, take a class in the yoga hut, or explore the hotel's small selection of books for guests to enjoy.

Puerto Vallarta lodging is anything but ordinary. You’ll find this out when you stay at Paradise Village Resort. The upscale resort is located on a clean stretch of beach adjacent to several swimming pools, an onsite marina, and a well-manicured golf course. The pyramid-shaped buildings that house the guest rooms take their inspiration from the Mayan ruins that are common throughout Mexico. Each room has air conditioning, a TV, sitting areas, and a kitchenette. Most of the units are large enough to accommodate a large family or a group of friends. The hotel has so many things to do, from partying at the on site dance club to getting a treatment at the spa. There are plenty of entertainment options for children, including a kid’s club, a basketball court, and a petting zoo. Dining options include two restaurants and two beachside snack bars.

Hacienda San Angel is a luxurious downtown Puerto Vallarta hotel that consists of a collection of villas and suites. Each stylish unit offers air conditioning, luxury bedding, a TV and DVD player, a CD player, and a safe. Although the Hacienda San Angel isn’t located on the beach like most other Puerto Vallarta hotels, it is within walking distance of the unique galleries and shopping of downtown. Don’t miss the rooftop Jacuzzi and sun deck or the tropical garden. Each morning, you’ll be treated to a gourmet breakfast served in your room. Simply let the staff know what time you would like your breakfast delivered. Complimentary internet access is available.

In addition to figuring out your plans for accommodation in Puerto Vallarta , you should also fill your Mexico travel itinerary with things to do in the area such as fishing or whale watching tours. From December to April, the waters surrounding Puerto Vallarta are full of humpback whales that come close to the shore for the winter. Some Puerto Vallarta hotels and resorts offer whale watching and boating expeditions for an additional price. With so many activities to choose from and excellent choices for hotels in Puerto Vallarta, a Puerto Vallarta vacation is something the entire family can look forward to.
