San Miguel De Allende Hotels

San Miguel de Allende is a historic town in Mexico that dates back to the year 1542. The city is well known throughout Mexico and Latin American countries such as Belize for its laid back atmosphere and charm. There are many things to do in San Miguel de Allende, including relaxing in the public parks or touring historical churches. There are a number of choices for San Miguel de Allende lodging. Most San Miguel de Allende hotels are small, family-run establishments that are known for their hospitality and warmth.

One option for hotels in San Miguel de Allende is the Guadiana Bed and Breakfast. This eight-room establishment is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Guests can choose between small rooms with single beds or larger rooms with double or queen sized beds. Each room has a private bathroom. Each morning, you’ll awake to a full breakfast served on the rooftop terrace that overlooks the city. The terrace is also a relaxing place to sit at night and enjoy the warm weather. If you’re working on learning some Spanish, onsite Spanish tutors are available at the hotel for an hourly rate. The hotel also has internet access for a daily fee.

A very affordable option for hotels in San Miguel de Allende is La Mansion del Bosque. Each one of the 23 rooms is decorated with antique furnishings and has comfortable bedding. No two rooms are alike—some have different layouts and a different decorating scheme. Unlike most San Miguel de Allende lodging options, both breakfast and dinner is included in the price of the room.

The Casa de Liza en el Parque offers six individually-decorated rooms complete with a fireplace and a kitchen. Step outside and you will find a greenhouse full of orchids as well as several pools and gardens. A traditional Mexican style breakfast is served every morning by the accommodating staff. If you find that your back hurts after a day of sightseeing, an onsite massage therapist is available.

Many San Miguel De Allende hotels have been converted from historical buildings. Casa Luna is a small hotel housed in a 300-year-old Colonial mansion that has been recently resotored. It is located in the historical district of town, near shopping as well as old churches. If you’re staying on a Friday, be sure to take advactage of the complimentary cooking class. A hearty breakfast is included in the price of the room

The best thing about San Miguel de Allende hotels are their personalized service and historical charm. If you’re used to staying in some of the large chain hotels or all inclusive resorts in Cancun or Mazatlan, a stay at one of the hotels in San Miguel De Allende is a different way to travel in Mexico. It’s best to find your San Miguel De Allende lodging plenty of months in advance—San Miguel de Allende hotels are so small, they tend to fill up fast.
