Tijuana Hotels

Tijuana is a city in Mexico that is situated near the US-Mexican border. Some people visit Tijuana from San Diego for a day trip of shopping and sightseeing, while others choose to stay in one of the many hotels in Tijuana. There are many cheap hotels in Tijuana near the busy downtown zone that is usually full of tourists as well as Tijuana hotels in more secluded areas near the beach. The majority of choices in Tijuana lodging cater to business travelers as well as those attending concerts and events in Tijuana.

If you prefer Tijuana lodging near the beach, the Hacienda del Mar is a clean and comfortable choice. Many people stay there the night before a bullfighting match at the seaside bullring next door to the hotel. The rooms, while relatively plain, have air conditioning and a TV. The hotel offers special weekly rates for families and for patients receiving medical care at one of the local clinics. The hotel has a small restaurant as well as an outdoor heated pool. Complimentary secured parking is available as well as concierge services are available.

The Hotel Lucerna is a more upscale option for Tijuana lodging. Located away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, each room of the stylish hotel features balconies or patios, satellite TV, complimentary high-speed internet access, and air conditioning. Other amenities include two bars, two restaurants, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and a business center. A concierge desk will help you arrange tours around Tijuana and the surrounding area as well as arrange transportation to the airport. If you’re in the mood to do some shopping, the Plaza Rio Tijuana shopping center is just two blocks away from the Hotel Lucerna and other hotels in Tijuana. If you’re staying at the hotel on a Saturday night, make sure to wake up early for the poolside breakfast and brunch.

The Grand Hotel is one of several Tijuana hotels that focus on business travelers. The rooms have amazing views of the city and have many amenities such as high speed internet access, TVs, minibars, and air conditioning. The rooms on the top three floors are slightly more expensive and offer complimentary buffet breakfasts and appetizers in a private reception area, and fax machines in each room. There are two restaurants and a lobby bar as well as tennis courts, a heated pool, a fitness center, and a gift shop. Free underground parking is available for all guests.

Tijuana hotels are convenient and affordable places to stay for a quick weekend trip to Mexico or a business trip. Many of the hotels in Tijuana offer complimentary transportation to the main shopping distance, and taxis are available to take you anywhere else you want to go in the city.
