The lake town of Coeur d’Alene
is also located not to far from Boise.

The Boise Art Museum is one of the most prominent art museums in the state of Idaho, and focuses on local and Pacific Northwest Art. Other Boise museums include the Basque Museum and Cultural Center, the Idaho Historical Museums, the World Center for Birds of Prey and the Old Idaho Penitentiary building. The Idaho State Capitol building is also a great place to visit, and is the only capitol building in the nation heated by geothermal water.
