World-renowned songwriter and musician Jimmy Buffet has teamed up with Harrah’s Entertainment to bring the new and exciting Margaritaville Casino and Resort to Biloxi.
Currently being designed and built on 46 acres Margaritaville Biloxi will comprise 100,000 square feet of exciting casino floor space, 250,000 square feet of shops and specialty stores and 66,000 square feet of business service space.
A spa with all the bells and whistles will provide a stunning area of pure tranquility and offer all the latest treatments and applications fulfilling a variety of choices. A grandiose outdoor pool will allow guests to enjoy the best of Mississippi weather while soaking up the warm sunshine. The Margaritaville Biloxi will offer cabanas which will be situated on a massive hardwood pool deck where kicking back will be the name of the game. Exclusively planned tropical landscaping will give the outdoors the Caribbean feel that Jimmy Buffet’s own music exemplifies and the bar will no doubt be providing the margaritas at the Mississippi Margaritaville!
Also planned for the Margaritaville Casino Biloxi developers are creating a contemporary dining facility called the Mississippi Margaritaville Restaurant that will offer a buffet (not Jimmy though!) and the finest of dining featuring a variety of different dishes. The Margaritaville Casino Biloxi restaurant will be situated in the center of the complex for easy access to dining from anywhere in the building.
The Margaritaville Casino and Resort will be highlighted by a brand new hotel offering world-class accommodations for guests. 420 new rooms will be added to the already existing rooms on site to complete one of the biggest Biloxi hotels built to date. A variety of different suites will be available to accommodate singles, couples and families choosing to spend time at Margaritaville Biloxi. When at the Margaritaville Casino Biloxi will seem a million miles away as all the amenities guests could hope for will be found inside the massive compound!
Being a Mississippi native Jimmy Buffet hopes to give back to the community by adding strength to the local economy and creating one of the biggest and best casino resorts in the south. The $700 million dollar projects is well underway with a highly anticipated projected completion date of 2010 with a final investment nearing $1 billion dollars!
