Part of the Bluegreen Resorts chain, Bluegreen Club 36 will very likely be eligible for vacation points usage upon completion. The Bluegreen Club is a points-driven vacation ownership program where members can use their points toward resorts all over the U.S. The Bluegreen Club Las Vegas is due to be complete in summer 2008 and will undergo a membership process to join the Bluegreen Club resorts after this time.
Bluegreen Club 36 gets the number 36 in its name for two reasons. First, the number 36 describes the hotel’s location—this resort is located on the 36th line of latitude as it is in Las Vegas. Second, 1936 was the peak of the Art Deco style period. Art Deco was a popular design idea through the 1920s and 1930s, centering on what was then viewed as exotic cultures—Africa, India, and Egyptian—mixed with avant-garde materials such as shark skin and lacquered woods as well as geometric patterns. The Club 36 Las Vegas draws on these design principles, creating a unique look in Vegas and beautiful revival of this classic style.
Just a short walk or quick cab ride to the Las
Vegas Strip, Bluegreen Club 36 is located on Tropicana
Avenue about a mile from the MGM Grand,
New York New York,
and the Excalibur. For anyone
who wants to visit Las Vegas, but still would like to
be able to get away from the craziness of the Strip and
relax in a resort-like setting, Club 36 Las Vegas has
the perfect locale. A covered pool keeps the intense desert
sun at bay while a nearby sunbathing deck, complete with
misters to keep sunbathers from frying, provides some
space for any sun worshipers. The poolside bar makes sure
you won’t go thirsty. Other onsite amenities include
two restaurants and a fitness center. At seven stories,
Club 36 Las Vegas is smaller and more intimate that most
of the hotels on the Strip,
but with 238 suites and 2 presidential suites the resort
has more than enough accomodations.
The Art Deco styling doesn’t stop at the lobby. Guest rooms at the Bluegreen Club Las Vegas and suites are decked out with warm, rich wooden furniture contrasted with aluminum accents, fantastically funky color combinations highlighting the favored geometric designs, and touches of the exotic. While it may sound chaotic, the effect is pleasing and welcoming, a perfect place to call home for a few days or a few weeks. Rooms are available with one bedroom or two and strive to provide many conveniences from home.
Upon completion, the Bluegreen Club Las Vegas should
be accompanied by a retail center to provide shops for
souvenirs and sundries, restaurants, and video gambling.
Currently, the Miracle Mile shops at Planet
Hollywood are close by for shopping. For a range of
dining options and evening shows, including the Cirque
du Soleil show Ka,
MGM Grand is close. One of the most reasonably priced
and well-stocked buffets is at the Excalibur also nearby.
Bluegreen Club Las Vegas is the perfect spot to relax after a wild night on the town or after a day with the family exploring Red Rock Canyon or one of the many family-friendly attractions on the Strip. Warm and inviting, but delightfully stylish at the same time, Bluegreen Club 36 is a unique addition to the Las Vegas line up.
