Airlines to Tennessee

Flights to Tennessee generally land in one of four airports. Chattanooga Metropolitan, Knoxville Airport, Memphis International and Nashville International all handle flights to Tennessee. Memphis and Nashville handle the major international flights. Flights to Tennessee landing at Memphis and Nashville are most popular as these are the most often visited cities by business travelers as well as tourists.

Upon debarking a flight to Nashville visitors will notice that the airport has a nice local feel to it. Nashville has made some changes and is now serving up southern-style food including buttery cornbread and catfish in a more upscale fashion than before with polished cutlery and starched white linens. It’s actually a great place to grab a bite if opting out of eating the sometimes less-than-delicious plane food likely served on your flight to Nashville!

Surprising to the non-southern folks arriving on their flight to Nashville, the airport has white rocking chairs scattered about the terminals which give it a real country feel. Nashville has a great reputation for entertainment and the airport is no different. Live concerts entertain along the concourses and at baggage claim! Once visitors have stayed in Nashville for a bit of time, they become well aware that this isn’t so odd for Nashville at all! Photos of country stars line airport walls and other art lines the walls as well exemplifying Nashville’s new Arts at the Airport project.

Depending on where visitors are flying from Nashville flights can be very affordable. Nashville hotels offer all kinds of deals with hotel and Nashville flights packages and some go quite low with prices for flights to Nashville because of the stiff competition. If you’re easygoing another way to lessen the cost of Nashville flights is to opt for a cheaper flight that has a layover in between. Often Nashville flights that go direct are more expensive than the ones that stopover in another city on route. If planned well, it’s even possible to get a few hours of sightseeing in before re-boarding the plane, depending on the circumstance and how far the stopover’s airport is from the possible attractions.

Upon arrival on a flight to Memphis the anticipation of all the great music venues, attractions and nightlife can be overwhelming! Memphis is a truly exciting city with a steady hum of action day and night. A flight to Memphis will land at Memphis International Airport and from that point there are many options for getting to your hotel destination. One convenient thing about a flight to Memphis is upon arrival downtown is only twelve miles from the airport so it’s fast and convenient to get away. From the airport there is Yellow cab service as well as an airport shuttle service that offer transportation. The shuttle service is $15.00 one way and $25.00 round trip but check before purchasing tickets. A Memphis car rental is also a great transportation option.

If arriving on a flight to Memphis at night make sure to get a good sleep because there’s plenty of things to do and see once the sun comes up! Most visitors hit at least one of the major attractions including Sun Studio, Beale Street or the Memphis Zoo right away. Elvis fans tend to head straight over to Graceland for a tour of “the King’s” castle and a look around the grounds. No matter what you see first, be sure to take in as much as possible when on a Tennessee vacation and you won’t be disappointed!
