The spelling of the mighty falls is different from that in Brazil (Iguassu), but the grandeur and the overwhelming fascination by thousands of tourists is the same. The view from the Brazilian side is more panoramic. From the Argentina side the view is closer up by means of catwalks over the falls and a lookout tower.

Around the falls you'll see plush vegetation and iguanas and deer, and both Brazil and Argentina have created their own national parks to preserve the natural beauty of the area.

The biggest attraction on the Argentina side of the falls is known as Devil's Throat, an area where the largest volume of water passes. It is a thrilling site that can also be seen from the Brazilian side.

Both sides are spectacular in their own way, and both deserve a visit. The best time to visit is between August and November when there is the least chance of floodwaters on the catwalks.
